One should treat one’s body well, so that the soul is happy to dwell within it.
No question about it! Nothing rounds off a meal better than the perfect glass of wine. And hardly any other luxury foodstuff offers greater variety than wine, with all its different varieties and styles. At our monastery restaurant, we strive to serve you the perfect glass of wine to complement every culinary delight – whether it’s a simple snack or a sophisticated meal. We deliberately keep our selection manageable, focusing instead on quality, freshness and regional produce. And, of course, there is something for every taste on our menu: from vegetarian creations and classics of German cuisine to hearty regional dishes. Whether simple or sophisticated – all our dishes are characterised by high-quality ingredients, sourced predominantly from local producers and prepared and served with love and expertise.

Personal touch
We always strive for authenticity and aim to offer our guests a wonderful stay at Engelthal Monastery, one that bears our personal touch. We love what we do, and we do it with passion. Whether it’s your seminar, family celebration or corporate event, our team and I will work with you to plan your event, offer advice and provide personalised support on the day.

Regional specialities
In keeping with the region’s traditions, seasonal dishes and fine wines are served in the old cross-vaulted cellar. The restaurant is open all year round and is a popular meeting place for wine lovers. During the summer months, a table on the terrace in the courtyard is highly recommended. In addition to our new menu, we offer seasonal specialities.
