Engelthal Monastery has once again been awarded the nationally recognised “Reisen für Alle” (Travel for All) certification. The certificate provides information on the accessibility and usability of tourist facilities for people with disabilities. It is valid from June 2025 to May 2028, until the next recertification takes place.
This successful recertification underscores our commitment to inclusion and participation.

We have been certified as meeting the following accessibility criteria:
- Barrier-free access to all relevant areas of the building
- Two designated parking spaces for people with disabilities
- Wide doors and a spacious lift (125 x 200 cm)
- Accessible toilets with grab rails and sufficient space to move around
- Bright, glare-free lighting and quiet seating areas
- Wheelchair-accessible tables in the restaurant
- High-contrast signage with pictograms
- Assistance dogs are permitted in all areas
We are constantly striving to improve accessibility to our premises for people with disabilities.
Here you will find the certificate and the test reports in German and English.
