This year we are celebrating our 300th anniversary.
We would like to mark this occasion in style with a whole week of celebrations – together with you!
Of course, our vineyard festival at Engelthal Abbey is part of the celebrations: a festival featuring live bands and a lively atmosphere in the courtyard. On Friday and Saturday, there’ll be great music to sing along and dance to.
Tom Gregory kicks things off with his live concert on Wednesday!

There’s a special act lined up for you this Wednesday: Tom Gregory is playing live at Engelthal Monastery!

During the courtyard festival, a lively atmosphere filled with live music and dancing awaits you in the courtyard of Engelthal Monastery. Enjoy talented bands who will be setting the mood on both Friday and Saturday, and right in front of them, a spacious dance floor invites you to get your dancing shoes on and celebrate the weekend in style. Entry to the courtyard festival is free!
Specialities & classics from the monastery kitchen
Enjoy both small treats and delicious dishes from our monastery kitchen. Andreas Klausen and his team will be cooking for you in our courtyard and, together with some fantastic local partners, will be bringing classic dishes to our courtyard festival.
Relax and enjoy a glass of wine
If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, you’ll find the perfect spot in our vineyard, which is furnished with seating, in one of the shadier areas under our marquee, or simply relaxing on the lawn. Enjoy a selection of fine cocktails, wines and delicious food in a relaxed setting. We have the perfect spot to suit every mood and preference.
To the good old days
On Thursday – Corpus Christi – the Nico-Hering Quartet will be playing some fine jazz from 11.00 am. Thanks to the Ingelheim Classic Car Initiative, you can admire the many classic cars gathering in the car park of Engelthal Monastery on Thursday morning.
Wine tastings to mark the anniversary
In keeping with the theme ‘Meet the winemaker’, our winemakers will be presenting special wines at exclusive anniversary tastings – accompanied, of course, by delicacies from the monastery kitchen.
